Dunkirk is 50 miles south of Ft. Wayne, IN on State Road 167.
To reach the Library or Museum take 67 North from Muncie, Indiana to 167 and turn left. Proceed 5 miles to Dunkirk. Turn left on Washington Street in downtown Dunkirk and the library is on the left behind the old Stewart Brothers Furniture Store. There is a parking lot between the Furniture store and the library that may be used for either the Library or the Museum. There is also off street parking in front of the Museum on Franklin Street.
To reach the Library or Museum from Fort Wayne, Indiana take 69 South to 27 to Portland, Indiana then take 67 South to County Road 400S and turn right. This road will cross over State Road 1 then proceed into Dunkirk. Turn left at the second stop sign at WestJayMiddle School onto Main Street and follow Main Street to Washington Street. Turn right onto Washington and turn left into the parking lot behind the old Stewart Brothers Furniture store, or continue to Franklin Street and turn left to park in front of the Museum.

Library Holdings:
As of April of 2011 the Dunkirk Public Library contained more than 23,300 books, 751 VHS, 1,969 DVD's, 356 Music CD's and 65 Magazine subscriptions. Programming includes a six-week Summer Reading Program, a weekly Teens Read @ the Library program, Children's Holiday programming and author visits. Our library serves a population of 2,646.
